Who Means The World To Me And Why?

I read the last prompt incorrectly; It wasn't "what means the world to you", but "who means the world to you" (I guess that makes today's post day 10.5 of 30 questions for self discovery?)

Reading the prompt incorrectly did make me delve deeper into the things that really matter to me. I realised I care more about the environment than I act a lot of the time and that I value kindness and compassion more than I probably show at times. I also learned that in order to become the person I want to be, I need to align my actions with my words (in other words, walk the talk).

A long weekend away with friends; we spend the weekend eating lots of food, going on walks and playing board games.

So, who are the people that mean the world to me? As I said yesterday, there isn't anyone I would die for, but there are people who are very important to me; they are my family and friends.

  • Family: They love me and keep me grounded. They're esu[[prtove and accepting and while we have our differences at times, I know I can always count on them.
  • Friends: My friends are intelligent and funny. I love that we have similar political views and sense of humor. I had spent a lot of time feeling like an outsider because of how weird and awkward I am but I feel accepted just as I am with these guys. I am so lucky and thankful to have found 'my people'.
  • My husband: He just gets me; it's great having someone supportive who just loves and accepts me as I am.

I feel the reason these people are so important to me ties into my post about the things that bother me. They are people who understand me and people who accept me as I am.
