What's Draining My Energy? How Can I Cut It Out
If I'm honest, I think the thing that drains my energy the most is me. I know my attitude is something I need to work on. I am incredibly harsh on myself when things go wrong, I get overwhelmed & anxious when the house is a mess and I can be incredibly sulky and moody if things don't go my way; it wears me down sometimes.
A few practical ways I can work on my attitude/how I react to things; those are:
- Self-talk - I need to be kinder to myself when I fuck up; I need to remind myself I'm not the only person who makes mistakes.
- Finding effective/long-term ways of dealing with stress (meditation has been helping).
- Turning my annoyances into blessings (I touched on thisn my what's bothering me and why post).
I don't think I can cut my emotions out of my life so they're never an issue, but I know it's something I can work on, and in the words of Rachel Hunter, "it won't happen overnight, but it will happen'
