August Astral Box - Tarot

The theme for August's Astral Box was Tarot; I was so excited when the theme was revealed. If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I have really been into tarot lately.

I received my box about a week ago and ripped it open as soon as it arrived. I would have posted about it then, but as I mentioned in this week's Weekly Gratitude List, I was really sick; my brain was not working (I'm still not feeling 100%, but I am definitely feeling a lot better than I did last week).

Because I didn't do a first impressions post, I was able to use everything in the box; today I'm sharing everything I recieved, and what  I think ab

This was the thing I was most excited about; I mean, a full tarot deck?! I have used the deck a couple of times, and love the illustrations; the deck uses simple and potent imagery of nature to portray the traditional tarot. The deck also came with a little booklet, that I use when I want to quickly look up the keywords to decipher a card's meaning.

I love this mat. The mat came with a cheat sheet that described the symbolism of the images used on it; it also has a bunch of tarot spreads, which has been super helpful.

Due to the material used, I feel the mat could also be used as a mousepad, which is great if you want to give your office a witchy vibe.

I received the purify + protect spray in my box; this spray can be used to clear negativity energy on or around you and can be used to cleanse crystals, your tarot mat, and new tarot cards before they're used.  I love this spray, I think it has eucalyptus in it, but I'm not sure (the smell is really familiar though); I've used it on my tarot mat, my crystals, my cards, on myself when I've felt a bit anxious, and to clear the air before a reading. I think I'll probably repurchase this spray when it's finished, and I definitely want to check out the other smudge sprays La Lune Healing sell.

For this box, Spirit Element put together 6 perfumes which were based on cards in the major arcana. Each person received one at random; it was like pulling a card from a tarot deck. I received The Magician, and to be honest, I'm not really sure how I feel about it, but that could be because my hose has been pretty blocked every time I've used it; I'll have to use it more now I'm feeling better to see what I actually think about it.

The crystal included in August's box was a piece of raw selenite. Selenite is perfect for energy cleansing. It has the ability to unblock stagnant energy and remove negative energy. Selenite also said to greatly magnify the energy of anything that is placed upon it. I'm looking forward to using this stone in my practice.

I really loved this box, and I'm so excited to continue using everything I received in it. I won't be posting an Astral Box first impression/review next month as I've canceled my subscription. I feel the need to point out that this isn't because I don't think these boxes are worth it, I just want to cut down on my expenses so I can save money; I definitely plan on restarting my subcription at some point.
